Sean Hannity in Salt Lake City

Sean Hannity came to Salt Lake City today to kick-off his book tour- "Conservative Victory". Many of you may not know that Tom is a big fan and loves politics... so Tom and I went to Borders in Murray hoping to buy a copy of his book and have Sean Hannity sign it. Little did we know that we were also going to have the opportunity to be part of the live audience for the taping of "The Sean Hannity Show" that airs every night on Fox News. We never thought we'd get in since there was only room for about 100 people, but we were lucky enough to get some passes from a very generous man who picked us out of a room full of people...

Sean came across as a very down to earth, nice guy, and a great American with some very good objectives and solutions for all the craziness that's going on in Washington! We got to speak with him briefly. He asked us if we were dating- we said "no, we've been married for almost 8 years and we have 3 kids"- his response was, "wow 3 kids, you guys look like you're 18". He went on to give us some marital advise and told us to stay close to our faith- cool huh! it's not everyday you hear people in showbiz (or politics for that matter)- talk about values and the importance of staying close to God and Christian principles. It was really fun to be a part of a live taping- 'we had our 5 seconds of fame' and an experience we will never forget.

The Living Planet Aquarium

We woke up Friday morning and decided to have a fun family day. It was totally spontaneous as most things in our family are. We took the kids to The Living Planet Aquarium and they absolutely loved being among all the animals! Andy and Sean's favorite was touching the sting rays and seeing the "scary piders and snakes" (as Sean calls them). Sean also loved the nemo's (clownfish) and kept saying "mom there's anoder one". Even Ally was super entertained- her eyes were super big the whole time. Andy's favorite was the Anaconda exhibit- "it lives in the water and land, how cool"!

We really had a wonderful day.... Wouldn't it be great if everyday would be like this- to able to do what you want, with whom you want, whenever you want, for as long as you want? That's our dream!

6- months

Wow 6 months have already gone by- my 7 lbs 9 oz baby is 17 lbs now and growing, growing, growing. The only sad thing about all this growth is having to put away all the clothes that no longer fits- this always makes me a little sad. But then again having a new wardrobe every few months is kinda fun.

Here's what Ally has been upto this last month.
She has been nothing but smiles. It's fun to see a little bit of Andy in her personality- social and sweet. She loves to smile at everyone!

We've had lots of dress-up sessions- My mom calls Ally my "muneca" (doll), she says that's all I do- play dolls with her (and she is my doll). and I must admit I love dressing her up! It takes me back to when Patty and I played dolls together as little girls and dreamed of being mommies some day.

Ally has been practicing sitting up unassisted and just perfected this!

She loves to eat her toes- I always love it when babies do this it's so cute!

We had our first solid foods- rice cereal, bananas and apple juice. She's not too crazy about the rice cereal and seems to like it much more when I add a little banana or apple juice in the mix.... I think she'll be a good eater like my other 2.

She can hold her bottle and loves to drink juice from it!

Ally loves her tongue! She plays with it and makes noises by smacking her lips. I often find her sticking her tongue out- it's pretty funny and also pretty adorable. I don't remember my boys doing that so that's a first for me.

Ally is a great sleeper- she takes about 3 naps a day and pretty much sleeps through the night. She is now on the same schedule as her brothers and often goes to bed before they do! I don't really know how this happened, but it's great to have all 3 kids sleeping by 8:30.

I can't believe we are half way from her 1st B-day- that just seems crazy to me, before I know it she'll be talking and walking all over the place... Here's a few pics.
