Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July! We spent all day playing and having fun as a family. We started the day with a yummy BBQ- steaks, brats, & shish-kabobs..... and lots more! We swam in the lake by our house, and watched the fireworks! We had a great time!

They are both so different & yet so alike.... What would I ever do without these 2 little "angels"?? Just glad I get to be their mom!

Andy's Preschool Graduation!

Yeah Andy graduated from pre-school on Friday! I can't believe he's going to start Kindergarten in just a few months! Crazy, crazy! He was so cute at his graduation, singing with all his buddies and so proud!

Park days!

We have the neatest new park in Daybreak. It's right by the lake & has a beach area that the kids absolutely love, a park area equipped with swings, slides, bridges, & crazy webs that Andy loves climbing & swinging on. So, this has become Andy & Sean's most favorite hang-out!

We are so excited- our pool opened on FRIDAY & we had a blast splashing around with the kids! Sean really got into it this year- he loves water! Andy had fun practicing his swimming.

I got back form Miami last Tuesday & got the terrible news Thursday, May 7th, that my uncle Alvin Saczek had been murdered.... It's been a hard few days for our family. But days & nights I've had to ponder about life & how fragile it is. Thinking about my "Abuela Ana" & how hard it must be to loose a son. (I can't imagine what that must feel like.)

This Mother's Day I am grateful for my 2 little boys the Lord has entrusted me with and; that they are here with me. I've been thinking about how we should all make every day count in the lives of the people we love & live every moment as if it were the last.

I couldn't share this day with my mom- she was far away saying goodbye to her little brother, but I'm also grateful for her & her wonderful example to me & my siters & brother. I'm glad she could be there to support her mom during these hard times.

I'm also thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ & the knowledge that life continues beyond this one, & that we will all be reunited with the ones we love!
